The curse of computers
The short hiatus in blogging which will probably continue to the weekend comes from a major crash, which seems to have been the result of some conflicting new hardware and or software and or Windows updates, which I’m still having to track down. It’s necessitated a complete wipe an re-install (which was overdue maintenance anyway, but with very inconvenient timing.
The thing about computers generally is that most of the time they’re great, but when they go wrong … I’m not naive enough to think that it only happens to PCs and Windows, but there are some things where I do see the advantage of the OS and hardware coming from the same manufacturer, and this particular crash is one that has nudges me one step closer to considering Apple.
I’m not buying for at least a year yet (so still time to get Leopard out of the door, Steve) but I’ll probably post occasionally on my thinking on this one.
