i think this is a great pt.  we SHOULD seek the wisdom of the church fathers.  but there are always guys on both sides of the path.  we could find many fathers who sided on the RC doctrinal side as well.

thus, we must use them to guide us, but also realize they can be wrong, just as we can be too.
