God and creation: what’s orthodoxy?

Mike Higton has an excellent five point questionnaire on God and creation. Do have a read. And in case your interested, I answered:

  2. Yes, sort of.

    I’d be more of a yes to the first four and no to the last (tho’ so much depends on definitions of terms). I’d be tempted to answer with a ‘yes’ for question 4 because a no seems to want to preserve God in some sort of deistic sense. That is, I don’t think that, where the conditions are met, belief in God falls down completely - but I do think the character of God is significantly changed, and what’s left moves closer to a form of deism. Very interesting questions though.
